Radiators
and intercoolers
Tata AutoComp, along with its joint
venture partner T.Rad of Japan, manufactures radiators made from
multi-layered aluminium, which provides good corrosion resistance
and durability against mechanical and thermal shocks. These products
are environment-friendly, have higher heat transfer rates than traditional
copper brass heat exchangers, are significantly lower-cost, and
offer higher product life and durability.
The company's product range includes:
- Radiators
- Intercoolers
- Heater cores
- Condensers
- EGR coolers
- Oil coolers
- Fans
- Fan motors
Engineering
capabilities
- In-house design and engineering
- Prototype development
- Product/system testing and validation
- Proprietary software for thermal
design of heat exchangers
- In-house CFD analysis
The
team of trained engineers at Tata AutoComp has designed and developed
radiators, intercoolers, heater cores and condensers for a variety
of automotive sector applications.
Over 300 different heat exchangers have been
designed, developed in the last 11 years and are under supply now.
Manufacturing
facilities
The company's integrated manufacturing facility
at Hinjewadi, Pune, India is capable of providing heat exchangers
with capacities of up to 350kW of heat dissipation, covering most
automotive and heavy vehicle applications.
The facility is capable of manufacturing parts
of heat exchangers at a high level of quality and consistency, ensured
through a complete range of testing and validation equipment that
carry out performance, reliability and durability tests, and conformance
to global customer standards.
The plant manages just-in-time supplies and
has the capability for direct-supply-to-line operations.
Established assembly lines at Chennai, Lucknow
and Jamshedpur to service system supplies for Tata Motors and Ashok
Leyland and a J-I-S plant to supply the front end module to Tata
Motors.
Facilities: The facility includes equipment such as:
- Tube mill
- Press (C type, H type)
- Fin forming
- Degreasing
- Core assembly
- Brazing oven (Two continous Nocoloc
brazing furnaces)
- Tank clinching
- Leakage testing (helium, air, water
and freon)
- Intercooler welding lines
Its in-house test facilities include:
- Vibration testing

- Salt spray testing
- Pressure cycle testing
